How to Make a Hooded Baby Bath Towel in 20 Minutes
My sister makes these adorable hooded baby bath towels for baby shower gifts. Learn how to make a hooded baby bath towel in 20 minutes. They are so cute and oh so useful. Thanks for the instructions, Sister!
Start off by pre-washing your towel and washcloth. Pick a color you love. (I pre-wash everything; however, my sister said she never pre-washes them)
Next, take your washcloth. Fold a third of it down and sew a straight seam on both side edges with matching thread. Leave the long side open. This is where their little head goes.
Time to take the towel. Use the side of the towel. Find the center and make a pleat in the towel, folding over about an inch on each side. Using a straight stitch, sew over the pleat.
This will be the inside.
Center the sewn washcloth over the pleat. Attach it using a straight stitch.
You are all done. Wasn’t that fast and easy.
Add your own embellishments to the hooded baby bath towel. To personalize it, add the expected babies name. This one is embroidered. Optional – add ribbon.
This gift can be used for the baby all the way to being a toddler.
